The honest version of free Seedance access
Seedance Free gives a new account 65 registration credits. With the current default settings—Seedance 1.5 Pro, 4 seconds, 480p, and no generated audio—the generator quotes 65 credits. That is enough for one default first attempt at today’s configured rate.
This is a limited free start, not an unlimited plan. Different models, longer durations, higher resolutions, generated audio, and video references can increase the required credits. Always use the number displayed on the Generate video button as the final quote before submission.
- An account is required so the server can verify the balance and authorize the request.
- The browser never receives the upstream provider API key.
- Paid credits are optional and available only when you want more generation capacity.
How to make the free credits go further
Start with a concise prompt and the shortest duration that can prove the idea. Use 480p while testing motion and composition, then move to a higher resolution only for a promising shot.
Compare models inside the selector before submitting. The model guide shows supported modes, duration, quality, and minimum credit rate, while the button shows the exact total for the current request.
- Describe subject, action, camera movement, lighting, and visual style in one clear prompt.
- Avoid adding reference files that do not materially affect the result.
- Download successful videos promptly because completed results use temporary provider links.
